Where can I Use my Card?

The OneCard is your official San Francisco State University photo ID card. The card entitles you to various privileges, discounts and uses on both main and downtown campuses. Having your card handy at all times is essential. Your OneCard is required to check out any books and other materials or for making copies at the J. Paul Leonard Library and the downtown campus. It will gain you access to selected SFSU buildings, computer labs located throughout campus and the gymnasium facilities. You will need it to gain access to residence halls. Your OneCard is also your cash on campus and is accepted as payment card by most on campus vendors.

Funding my Card

To activate the debit account feature, you will need to fund your card first. You can do this online using your MasterCard, American Express or Discover Cards, or by simply depositing cash at any Value Transfer Stations (VTS) on campus. When funding your account, take into consideration which of the two on campus curriencies, Baybucks or Gator Dollars you use more frequently. Consider that you might need both, especially if you are a residential housing students. Gator Dollars are more frequently needed in residential housing facilities. See the guide below to determine where and how the on-campus currencies can be used.

VTS machines are located at:

  • J P Leonard Library main entrance first floor.
  • Student Service Building main entrance first floor.
  • Cesar Chavez Student Center first floor.
  • Mail Services at Corporation Yard.
