When do I get my OneCard?

During your orientation session, your picture will be taken and your Basic OneCard issued to you the same day. Your Debit Card facility will automatically be activated once you deposit money to your BayBucks and/or Gator Dollar account at your discretion.

If you would then like to apply for the Enhanced OneCard, our staff will further assist you. Please mention this when being issued your Basic OneCard.

What are BayBucks and Gator Dollars?

There are two types of campus currencies accepted. Gator Dollars are used in residential housing areas, and BayBucks are accepted campus wide, including the Library and Bookstore. Most locations accept both currencies, or will specify which one they accept.

How do I activate my debit card feature?

To activate the campus debit card feature of both the Basic and Enhanced Onecard, you will need to deposit money to your card first. You can do this online using your MasterCard, American Express or Discover Cards, or by simply depositing cash at any Value Transfer Stations (VTS) on campus.

When making a deposit, take into consideration which of the two on campus currencies, Baybucks or Gator Dollars you use more frequently. Consider that you might need both, especially if you are a residential housing student. Gator Dollars are more frequently needed in residential housing facilities. See the guide below to determine where and how the on-campus currencies can be used.

Where are the VTS located?
